Oh, at last. Two whole weeks after the concert of Dublin City Workingman’s Band<\/a> in Sofia (January 26th, National Palace of Culture, Hall 2) I started to write about my own impressions from the event, mini review or sort of.<\/p>\n

This concert was one of the numerous events, dedicated to our acceptance in the European Union. (All that jazz, I little bit annoying, huh?).<\/p>\n

\"{Dublin<\/a>Before the concert small glasses with Baileys \u0438 Bushmills were responsible for ensuring the proper mood for Irish music. First Lilly Drumeva with her band Lilly of the West<\/a> made some songs, very tender and totally unobtrusive stage performance.<\/p>\n

The atmosphere was great, but could not prepare us at all for the following typhoon – the wonderful Workingman’s Band.<\/p>\n

\"{Dublin<\/a>You never heard about them? Well, I didn’t, but I won’t forget them anymore.<\/p>\n

If you’ve heard about the concert and you missed it, it’s unforgiven.<\/p>\n

It was free, and I feel pity for all these people that left few empty seats, but also for those ones that didn’t move all the time from their places.<\/p>\n

I wonder how can you stay like a rock when there is so much energy and music, even your feets wanna dance?<\/p>\n

From the entire hall full with people only our small company of five danced. We had great time, no matter the audience looked so frustrated.<\/p>\n

Amazing though, because it wasn’t a kind of concert that you can stay indifferent. I really wished to be born Irish that night, believe me.

\nThese Irish men gave generously everything from themselves, singing, dancing like this was their last stage performance.<\/p>\n

They made one cover of The Pogues’ song, which actually awaked one boy from the other side of the hall.<\/p>\n

He jumped dancing and invited us to join him, already knowing we won’t refuse. It is sooo exhausting to be like Irish – to drink, to dance and to sing equally passionate for hours…<\/p>\n

Only at the last part of the concert (which lasted two hours non-stop!) the audience in general showed some enthusiasm and more people joined our dancing company. We even had few bonus songs.<\/p>\n

I bet even the first song this night would make people dance like crazy, if this happened in Ireland, but whatever – I personally felt food. :-)

\nMichael<\/a>, who brought us there, actually, said: “This was the best free concert I’ve ever been”. I have to add that DCWB completely deserved high-price tickets for deliver such a good experience.<\/p>\n
