Friday Bunny #16 – Homichlophobia
16. Homichlophobia – Fear of fog (also – Nebulaphobia).
16. Homichlophobia – Fear of fog (also – Nebulaphobia).
I’ve got a list with favorite illustrators, but there is one that always manage to move me with her style, characters and colors. Monica Calvo’s artwork is a true source of inspiration and beauty.
Some of her illustrations were frequent guest on my desktop during the last few years, and this one never fails to cheer me up:
I do not know what kind of technique she uses, but the result is always adorable.
It may seem not related, but actually it is: Adobe Fireworks CS5 is already released.
Because I love this particular piece of software and I use it for quite a long time, I think I am able to recommend it to anyone who needs a great tool for web design and illustrations. I had the honor to be a beta-tester for this version and so it happens that I know for sure – it is really stable and full of surprises.
One of the new options was appealing to me – the Compound shapes. I wanted to try it immediately and start playing with some ideas, having Monica’s monsters before my eyes. That’s how my strange little creatures came out:
Well, at least they are brave – trying to scare away even the flies, which are famous of being impertinent and fearless… ;-)
15. Philophobia – Fear of falling in love or being in love.
I think these ones are also compatible:
Malaxophobia – Fear of love play (също и Sarmassophobia).
Erotophobia – Fear of sexual love or sexual questions.
Genophobia – Fear of sex.
It’s sad, but in fact you won’t believe how many people have these fears…
14. Chronomentrophobia – Fear of clocks (also Chronophobia – Fear of time).
(Lazy Bunny today, because I feel exhausted. I know one day some of the episodes will be remade.)
13. Ablutophobia – Fear of washing or bathing.
I never thought I’d be able to make more meerkats, but hey, when your only brother is having a birthday and is looking at you with big begging eyes, what can you do?
I think it came out pretty good this time, too. The little one is my favorite. :-)
I hope my brother is going to like them. :-)
There are thousands of RSS icons out there and most of them are quite popular.
Last year at some time I was doodling and this thing came out:
A friend showed me yesterday something wonderful that I would like to share with you.
I am in awe, amazed by the artwork of Irma:
This one especially brings back memories from my childhood with grandma:
All the beautiful clay illustrations can be seen here: DePlastilina.
Great, huh?
That’s what I made for Easter:
(versions for download will be later added)
Part of the eggs this year:
I guess it’s hardly left anyone on Earth not knowing what kind of animals are the meerkats (Suricata suricatta).
Surely big part of the human population is familiar with the famous Animal Planet’s sequel.
Few weeks ago a friend of mine asked me if I will accept an order to make some clay figures. He wanted to make a surprise gift to his girlfriend, which apparently is a great fan of these lovely animals.
And because meerkats usually live together in families, the only condition was to make more than two figures.
Finally, I made five of them. I am proud to present them to you:
As far as I know, the receiver is very happy with them. And so do I, since the making was such a big pleasure to me. :-)
