CSS Naked Day ‘2008

Wednesday, April 9th, 2008

Today, exactly at midnight, my blog (www.molif.com), as well as Michel’s blog (www.optimiced.com), are getting rid of their ‘clothes’.

Today is ‘CSS Naked Day‘ — the day which promotes Web Standards!

CSS Naked Day 2008 - getting naked with CSS styles... and not only CSS ;-) class=

This ‘CSS Naked Day’ is 24 to 48 hours long, and will show, that a blog or website with well written HTML+CSS can look pretty well even without its clothes (without its CSS styles).

So, if you see my blog without CSS today or tomorrow (without its design), don’t be puzzled by this fact — we ’stripped of’ our CSS styles for a good cause — and, as you can judge by the photo above (which we made together a few hours ago), not only of our CSS clothes, but also of our real clothes! ;-)

Long live Web Standards! :-D

Book Worm

Wednesday, February 20th, 2008

Few months ago an online inquiry caught my attention and i still think about it.
The question in this inquiry was simply “Do you read books?” and the maximum positive answer was defined as “1-6 books per year”. This, I admit, amazed me.

As a matter of fact, I couldn’t believe someone considering that nobody reads more than 6 books per year.

Just books

I had this opportunity and asked a person, related to this inquiry, about his opinion.
Well, he told me that book worms as me don’t count and in general the young people don’t read books at all.

I refuse to believe it. I think that too many people still read.
On the photo above are only a few of the books I “ate” during the last four-five months.
Well, it is true, that I am dedicated reader - I read everywhere and anytime.
But even so, I am sure that there are many people, who read six, and even seven books last year.

Please, help me prove that. :-)
If you read this blog, just let me know, please, the titles of the last seven books you’ve read.

I’ll be happy if you recommend some.
(My personal recommendation is Dara Horn’s novel - The World To Come, as well as Blink.)

The three laws of blogging

Thursday, January 31st, 2008

1. The more you read other blogs, the less you write in your own.

1. The more you write in your blog, the more you want to write.

2. The less you write, the more you don’t want to write.

Catch 22

Monday, October 22nd, 2007

Today’s my birthday. 22 of October :-)
And despite I used to upload photos of all of my things made from clay /finished a long ago and some still unfinished/, I just didn’t succeed to.
But I’ll make better photos and will show them here, I promise. :-)

October is my favorite time of the year and is full with gala days for me.
On 9th Michel had also birthday and all day I wanted to greet him from here too, but there was too much work and I missed.
But he did it today for me from his blog, because he is the best man in the world!

Because of him in this rainy Monday I want to put a song here.
This is my greet to you, Michel, because you are you and because you are wonderful and unique:

And for all of you, my friends, the song is this:

Blog Action Day

Bloggers Unite - Blog Action Day

I alway wonder what kind of person can throw the cigarette’s end or his junk food’s packings wherever it is. Just like that.

To give my contribution to this day, I appeal to everyone:

Please, throw your odds and ends only where they belongs!

Keep the chocolate or chips packing with you till the next recycle bin.

One waste matter less. One more clean view. :-)
