Friday, October 21st, 2011

Here it is one unexpected Friday Bunny!

But it is great, isn’t it? Even if not made by me, but by IKEA.

Thanks for the good friends who made me this wonderful gift!

Here, there is a short video that shows the Bunny in it’s full glory:

Friday Bunny got new shoes

Sunday, April 10th, 2011

I tried some sport shoes design with Friday Bunny and friends for a contest, but I know the chance for winning is not that big, since there are many people participating and thanks to their Facebook friends, some have more than 600-700 likes.

But still, Friday Bunny has got real friends. One of them, Sve, asked me very nicely to try and make one pair of sport shoes for her.

I can’t resist a good challenge, so I didn’t refuse. Sve bought the shoes and the fabric colours and presented them to me this Friday evening.

My fingers were seriously itching to start the process immediately:

Finally, the result::

It’s not like some good factory print, but hand-made is a different thing, so I feel it looks alright.

Hope that Sve is going to like the shoes – she still doesn’t know they are ready, this post should be a surprise! :-)

Live seeds and pure love

Sunday, April 10th, 2011

I made this poster very recently for a client, who was supposed to be participant in a forum in Hungary. It was a forum for eco-farmers, gardeners and non-government organizations, where they were gathered to discuss strategies about preserving the bio-diversity via authentic seeds, without hybrids and GMO.

Important part of the forum was the exhibition with posters, calling for action. I am proud to say that everybody, including the organizers of this forum, said to our participants that they find this particular poster and its message the best on in the exhibition (there were posters from over 15 countries).

My clients were very satisfied, they wrote to me and told me how people were saying all the time that this poster really touched them.

I am very happy about it. This piece of work looks quite simple, but also I like it very much, maybe because the inspiration for it came very suddenly. :-)

Christmas cards…

Thursday, December 30th, 2010

I’ve made some cards this year. One was asked from a good friend of mine, for her business contacts. That’s what came out:

The second one I made for my own pleasure. It seems I really wanted to say something not only to the readers of my blog-posts in BB-Team, but also to myself:

Christmas card

I wish you warm holidays and remember – it could be your best year, if you want it to be: hope we’ll all have enough time, good will and energy to do what’s worth to be done! :-)

Christmas cookies and other things

Thursday, December 30th, 2010

The cookies this year (thanks to two of my best friends that helped me a lot):

Two of the cookie cutters seemed perfect for making some pigs 9and one with a banjo, of course!):

Then I wanted to sew something and that’s what happened:

And I guess all this was just not enough, so I’ve made some felted little things and added them to every present:

I hope that everyone of you is having happy holidays. I did what I could. :-)

Dueling banjo pigs (again… and again… and again)

Sunday, December 12th, 2010

Remember the dueling banjo pigs that I mentioned recently?

Many people already caught this disease, but my case seems to be very bad. Or it’s not a disease, despite being contagious – it’s more likely a way to deal with stress, which I have a lot, don’t let me say on a permanent basis. Nixo and Michel are contributing to the project, too.

I will show you here the last picture of mine, which I like the most:

Banjo pigs

Here you can see all of my pigs (16 so far) and don’t forget to check the link from time to time. There’s no doubt that this number will grow. ;-)

Some cupcakes for my Dad…

Saturday, August 7th, 2010

That’s what I made for his birthday (with a little help from a friend) and he liked the present very, very much:

Cupcakes

Well, I kind of like the idea for having many small cakes than one big, so the result was satisfying and pleasant for the eye as for the palate. ;-)

A new beginning

..Only not for me, but for a reader of this blog, who kindly asked me to make something that symbolizes it. I believe that the Phoenix bird is an appropriate one. :-)

White chair redesign project

Wednesday, July 7th, 2010

In the beginning, this charming little chair was not at all very appealing.
It was old, scratchy, dirty and lonely.

White chair project

This kind of “projects” attract many assistants by the old principle of “Tom Sawyer and the fence”.

White chair project

Some white paint, decoupage glue, nice paper serviettes motives and enthusiasm and that’s the result:

White chair project

I kinda like it, even if it is far from perfect.

White chair project

It was fun to make and it makes me smile when I look at it now.

Probably every house can make a good use of one of these. It’s comfy when you are putting on your shoes, you could use it to reach most of the shelves at home, and it’s priceless if you have children to play with it.

His name is Enrico…

Tuesday, July 6th, 2010

…and he is one of the few people that I will gladly call my friends. Not just some people that I know, but friends indeed. Enrico likes to sing and he do this with passion an pleasure. It was not easy to convince him to let me publish some songs here, because he was worried they are not perfect. It was his first record in studio (friend’s favor) and he was a bit embarrassed to admit that he couldn’t hear well the sound in his headphones.

You may not like his singing, or to feel your fine hearing a bit scratched by his Italian accent. Surely, not everyone will be able to listen this with his heart the way I do. But I really thought that it’s worth to share some of the songs he recorded.

He is just a man, who lives in Italy. His life is not the one he could probably have if faith has not decided to give him a wheelchair. But make not mistake, Enrico is everything but a disabled one. The true handicapped people are the ones that walk around with souls, robbed of tolerance and empathy and minds, damaged by vanity and greed or full with self-pity. Luckily, he is not one of them.

Enrico is a sunny, bright person. A guy which I have the rare privilege to know. His existence is enough a reason to me during the last years to keep me believe that true people are still not extinct on Earth. He reminds me that there is still a lot to be grateful for in this life and that we should value more what we’ve got.

Once he was the reason for me to make my first big travel abroad alone. I’ve met some old and new friends on the road and I found many important things about myself to be true. I could go and do this again and again, because for one real friend everything is worthwhile – even to cross the world.

Here is a video he made in 2007 as a Christmas greeting to all his friends. :-)
